FULL GUIDE TO QUESTING }}
[/size][/b]
Quest: In mythology and literature a quest — a journey towards a goal — serves as a plot device and (frequently) as a symbol.
Let's go over some of the basics for Quests here in the Kingdom.
one. All quests require you to roleplay in a thread.
two. You are allowed to solo quests if you want to, but some require you to form a party with other roleplayers.
three. Quests are judged on the quality, the fairness, teamwork and the difficulty of the quest you manage to complete.
four. You are allowed to repeat or re-do a quest if you fail or simply want to do it again.
five. Rewards will be distributed according to quest difficulty.
six. We will NOT give you extra reward if you do extra work, keep that in mind.
seven. When starting a Quest thread you need to put [Q] in front of your thread title.
eight. Please remember that Quests may take a few days to judge, staff can't possibly be online 24/7.
nine. Make sure you read quest descriptions correctly, and place the thread in the correct area.
ten. If your Quest was labeled as 'failed', staff will give a comment on why you failed. If it was accepted, it will be moved to the Quest area and you will be rewarded.
If you've noticed, right undernieth your mini-profile you will see three words, 'Strength', 'Defense', and 'Magic'. These are all based on your post count and how strong your characters are. ( This is also useful while sparring with an opponent )
They will determine how well or how easy you can preform a quest. The lower the statistics the harder a quest will be depending on minimum requirements.
All of the stats generalize ALL of your character's strengths in general. The way you individualize them is up to you and can only be preformed during roleplay. These stats will just help you base their strengths off of when preforming a quest or sparring with an opponent.
For example, let's say you have well over 100 posts, by making a new character, that character does not start over. It has the strength equivalent of your 100 posts. This prevents you from starting over at level 1 and it gives you more options for your new character.
When picking a Quest from the list, you can decide whether or not you want to solo or form a party of your own. Some require parties, so keep that in mind. The size, teamwork and the statistics of your party will also determine on the successfulness of the quest. However, we will only require you to form a party of four people and no higher, it get's too difficult to keep track of and to judge if you have a party of over ten people.
A party of new members trying to preform a difficult quest is physically impossible. All party members must meet requirements for the quest itself.
SOLOING:
When soloing a quest you are responsibly for roleplaying absolutely everything. Important events or characters you encounter in a quest especially!
PARTIES:
In a party you cannot expect to rely on other people to roleplay quest events. That is YOUR job and you will be judged on that. You will start events and you will end the event according to the quest. You will also be expected to roleplay any 'non-playable characters' that you need to encounter.
Parties can be difficult and that is why we're restricting a four member party limit while keeping them as simple as possible.
When rewarding a party, every member who participated will get the KIMU that is rewarded, anything else will only be rewarded to the original roleplayer.
------------------------------
You are also expected to follow all site rules!
QUEST REQUIREMENTS:
Here is a description and a list of easy - difficult quest requirements. Please base your picks on this. Like described before, you will be comparing your statistics to the ones below.
EASY:
DEFENSE: 0
STRENGTH: 0
MAGIC: 0
LEVEL: 0
( Easy quests generally do not require you to have much experience as a member of this site, this is why they are for beginners. Hopefully, they will help you get started. However, each individual quest has its own statistics for you to compare it to. This is just a generalization. But you can certainly do ALL easy quests with these statistics )
MEDIUM:
STRENGTH: 50
DEFENSE: 100
MAGIC: 100
LEVEL: 10
( remember, each individual quest has its own statistics. )
DIFFICULT:
STRENGTH: 150
DEFENSE: 300
MAGIC: 300
LEVEL: 30
( difficult is meant to be difficult! Be prepared! )
We generally ask of you to be creative when you roleplay a quest.
