BASICS }}

( we know there's a lot to cover, but we just can't settle with just skimping over the rules. They are very important to you and to us. Sure it's boring but, doesn't a lot of rules show we care about your well being? (: )

Like everyone else, you have expectations as a member of this site.
You say you're mature? Well, prove it!

I expect equal kindness distributed between everyone, there will be no racial or sexual jokes that may be offensive.
Same goes for harassment and flaming.
Don't know what flaming is?

Flaming: hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users

This rule is also active between the status of staff member to member. Staff members will ( and must ) treat members equally, there is no exceptions no matter how popular or what kind of social status you have on the forum.

Every member must be atleast 13 years of age or older or else I'll be violating Proboards Terms. Please, please, please follow this critical rule and don't fake your age.

Avatars should only be (width) 110 x (height) 230 and no larger.
Any signature graphics should NOT stretch the page.

Rules are here for a reason. Obey them, and we'll get a long just fine.

CHARACTERS }}

Fantasy is greatly encouraged here on Kingdom. I expect members to be creative and use their imagination!

You may have up to four characters on only one account. If you have four already and wish to have another you'll have to make a sacrifice and rid of one of your current characters.
ALL characters must be active, don't think I don't make weekly checks. If a character is inactive you'll be reminded, if you continue to keep it inactive you will be given a few options.
- delete it
- make it active
- delete another character ( since it probably means you have too many )

Biographies should be filled up so they're large and chunky with information!
Skimpy biographies have a much less chance of being accepted. I'm sure you know the reasons why.
However, there is a difference between someone who tries and someone who was just being lazy.

Biographies should take no longer than a week to finish, if you continue to hold it off you will be warned, if you don't comply the unfinished biography will be deleted.

Characters are allowed only two powers from the list when starting out, other powers are earned through post count. Same goes for any higher level powers.

Once a character is accepted, their name will be put into the residents housing list which is located in the Dens board. They will also be added to the 'Residents In Power' list which is located in the 9 No Shinsei En board. Which categorizes them by ranking.
If they are just a civilian, they will not be put into the second list.

IN CHARACTER }}

I hate to see chatspeak anywhere on this forum, simply because it lacks literacy and makes people look like 'newbs', for lack of a better word. Thus, everyone is entitled to use correct grammar in and out of the character. The only exception is the C-Box, for example words like, lol, brb, g2g are okay to use.

When in thread with someone else, there's usually some sort of drama that keeps the interest flowing. I'd like to say this only once, anything that happens in a thread, is not directed towards the users. That means, don't take things personally unless you suspect an attack from let's say, previous experience.

All in character posts should be 200 words or more unless stated otherwise. 200 words shouldn't be a big deal.
Kingdom is a semi-literate - advanced roleplay, which means literacy levels will vary. However, this doesn't mean you should skimp out on grammar and good paragraphs.

FIGHTING AND SPARRING }}

Fighting and Sparring are two different things. I'd like to make this clear.

Fighting: is purposeful violent conflict intended to establish dominance over the opposition

Sparring: A form of fighting but neither opponents are fighting because of violent conflicts.

We have a place here especially for sparring.

Fighting should not be present in every thread, and sometimes, personal issues between characters should be resolved verbally.

Your character most certainly cannot be invincible. Every character has a flaw of some sort when it comes to physical strength and fighting. Please fight and spar fairly.

QUESTING SYSTEM }}

The Questing system is fairly unique, and pretty new aswell. It requires a large contribution on your part aswell as ours. It is basically set up to keep the activity flowing. We hate inactivity, so by giving our members things to do, hopefully we can avoid the death of a forum.

Just like the name says, there are Quests that your character can preform and finish. After every quest is finished you will be rewarded based on the quality of the job and the difficulty of the quest.

All quests are preformed as 'roleplay/in character posts'

and you will be judged on how fairly and accurate your character manages to finish. You also have to remember that a new member cannot complete something that is labeled as 'difficult', it is physically impossible for the member's character.

BIRTHING }}

This should be fairly obvious.

Please time your birthing and breeding according to the Weather statistics in the side table.

You may not roleplay graphic breeding OR birthing, keep things fairly brief, or we'll be violating Proboards terms.
